Canada Labour Code: Part II Orientation

Who should take this course?
The course is intended for employers and employees, members of health and safety committees and representatives who are covered by Part II of the Code. The Canadian Labour Code applies to employees who work under federal jurisdiction. This training is mandatory for all managers who have employees reporting to them. Consideration may also be given to those employees or managers who are members of Workplace Health and Safety (WPH&S) Committees or Site Health and Safety Representatives and who have not yet completed the WPH&S committee training.

Unit Four: Part II (Duties and Rights of Employees)
Unit Five: Committees, Representatives and Officers
Unit Six: Appeals, Offences and Punishment

Time to complete
The course is self paced so you can complete training in more than one sitting - the system will remember the last chapter you completed and start you there the next time you log in. Course duration will depend on the individual participant and their prior knowledge base with the course subject matter. On average, the course will take between 2-5 hours to complete.
